1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SideQuestDeals ("the Service"), operated by SideQuestDeals ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

2. Description of Service

SideQuestDeals is a subscription-based service that aggregates video game deals from various sources, including Reddit's r/GameDeals subreddit. We use artificial intelligence to extract and organize deal information for our subscribers.

The Service includes:

Filtering and sorting capabilities
Community voting and reporting features
Regular updates with new deals

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and update your information as needed
Keep your password secure and confidential
Not share your account with others
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) for additional security.

4. Subscription and Payment

4.1 Subscription Plans

We offer the following subscription plans:

Yearly: Billed annually with a discounted rate

4.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Prices are in US Dollars (USD).

4.3 Billing Cycle

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can manage your subscription through the Settings page.

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect. Existing subscribers will maintain their current rate until the end of their billing cycle.

4.5 Refunds

Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. For yearly subscriptions, you may request a prorated refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or renewal. Contact us at billing@sidequestdeals.com for refund requests.

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes to discover game deals.

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

Share your account credentials with others
Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service programmatically
Use the Service for any commercial or resale purposes
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Submit false reports or manipulate voting
Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
Upload malicious content or spam
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. User Content

6.1 Voting and Reporting

When you vote on deals or submit reports, you represent that your submissions are accurate and made in good faith.

6.2 Moderation

We reserve the right to remove any user-generated content and suspend accounts that violate these Terms or our community guidelines.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Content

The Service, including its design, features, and code, is owned by SideQuestDeals and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

7.2 Deal Information

Deal information displayed on our platform is aggregated from public sources. We do not claim ownership of the underlying deal offers, which remain the property of their respective retailers.

7.3 Trademarks

Game titles, store names (Steam, Epic Games, GOG, etc.), and associated logos are trademarks of their respective owners. Their use on our platform does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service contains links to third-party websites (game stores, retailers). We are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of these external sites. Clicking on deal links will take you to the retailer's website where their terms apply.

We are not affiliated with Reddit, Steam, Epic Games, GOG, Humble Bundle, or any other platform referenced on our site unless explicitly stated.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of deal information
Availability or continuity of deals listed
Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service
Fitness for a particular purpose

Deal Accuracy: While we strive to provide accurate information, deals may expire, change, or contain errors. Always verify prices and availability on the retailer's website before making a purchase.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIDEQUESTDEALS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Loss of profits or revenue
Loss of data
Missed deals or purchasing decisions
Issues with third-party retailers

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SideQuestDeals, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Account Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account Settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

12.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, suspicious activity, or at our sole discretion. In such cases, you may not be entitled to a refund.

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends immediately. We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
